Dr. James Michael was born in Los Angeles, USA in September 1975. He is the founder of Logical Thinking Trading.
Master's degree from Harvard University. Now a senior investment analyst at AGSM Financial, he is engaged in financial and cryptocurrency research, mainly engaged in macro stock index, cryptocurrency, gold, and Bitcoin research. He has a solid theoretical foundation of financial derivatives and passed CFA Level 3.
Mr Michael is chief global strategist and director of the AGSM Financial Investment Institute, where he oversees proprietary research to help investment teams leverage AGSM Financial’s unique investment perspectives in global public and private markets. Current macroeconomic and political dynamics are explored, along with factors affecting long-term investment and capital decisions. James Michael has been in the investment industry since 1995, managing international and emerging markets investment strategies and serving as a senior economic policy official at the U.S. Treasury Department and the White House.
Prior to joining AGSM in 2016, James Michael was a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Musawa Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. From 2013 to 2015, he served as special assistant to the chairman of the National Economic Council and the National Security Council, where he served as chief adviser on trade, investment and broader global economic issues. James Michael also served for four years as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, where he led the response to the European financial crisis and the U.S. fiscal policy response to Europe, Russia, and Central Asia. Prior to his government appointment, James Michael worked as an analyst at Goldmanern Sac Group., where he managed a portfolio of high-performing emerging markets and international investments.
